Like all Shift Psychologists, Kristi is trained in the Shift Protocol, which is the highly effective blending of two well-researched approaches: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Bilateral Stimulation. She also has experience in play, narrative, expressive arts, and dialectical behaviour therapy.

Kristi thoroughly enjoys helping individuals overcome depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues, and stress. She takes a positive, down-to-earth approach and has worked with individuals, families, and youth of all ages. Kristi strongly believes that individuals do the best they can with the skills they currently possess, and her approach to therapy focuses on helping her clients access new knowledge and coping skills to help them triumph against life’s challenges. With a warm and gentle style, she quickly establishes rapport and helps motivate her clients to improve their lives and create a joy filled existence. Kristi is a humorous and enthusiastic person and feels strongly about reducing the stigma around mental health and helping her clients develop solutions to challenges they find in the world and in themselves.

When she is not immersed in creating magnificent mental fitness for clients, you could find her shredding the slopes on her snowboard in Lake Louise or backpacking through some jungle in Central America. Although these days, she’s more likely playing with her new puppy, Gator. She also really loves reading, craft time and enjoying the occasional enormous bowl of pho.
