Like all Shift Psychologists, Farrah is trained in the Shift Protocol, which is the highly effective blending of two well-researched approaches: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Bi-Lateral Stimulation (BLS). She also has experience working with adolescents.


What is your name/nicknames?

My name is Farrah! As a child, my mum called me Faru.

What do you do at Shift?

I am a psychologist at Shift Mount Royal.

What are your academic credentials?

I have a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and am currently a Registered Provisional Psychologist.

Do you have any pets?

Yes! I recently got a Persian mixed kitten who I named Blue because of his eyes.

Specialty Populations/Issues:

My speciality areas include helping individuals with borderline and histrionic personality disorders, domestic violence, burnout, and job loss. I also specialize in working with adults and adolescents with concerns surrounding addictions, bereavement, depression, anxiety, and trauma.

I also speak Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu.


What is your favourite food?

I love Italian. Give me some pasta and I’m happy!

What is a skill you are working on currently?

I am currently working on learning more in the psychology field. One of my interests in existential psychology so I’m currently reading more on that.

What do you do in your spare time?

I enjoy reading and going out with friends. Travelling is a must when I get the chance!

What is your dream car?

Ferrari for sure!

I really enjoy going to live comedy shows – super fun and entertaining!
