Like all Shift Psychologists, Jiwon is trained in the Shift Protocol, which is the highly effective blending of two well-researched approaches: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Bi-Lateral Stimulation (BLS). She works mostly with adults.

I work at Shift as a Registered Provisional Psychologist, which is similar to a resident doctor in the medical field.

  • B.A. Honours Psychology, McGill University

Do you have any pets?

I don’t have a pet yet, but I would like to raise a dog one day!

Specialty Populations/Issues:

In addition to depression and anxiety, I help clients with concerns surrounding trauma and severe stress. I am passionate about helping clients with academic concerns like demotivation, or relationship issues in addition to cross-cultural challenges, self-acceptance/self-compassion, and social anxiety.

I also speak Korean!


What is your favourite food?

I really like tteok-bokki (stir-fried rice cake) and sushi!! I also really like strawberry shortcakes and tiramisu!!

What is a skill you are working on currently?

I have been trying to work on my drawing/doodling skills. I have also been trying to learn how to use the Adobe Illustrator, but I get confused easily.

What do you do in your spare time?

Watching Netflix, drawing, and playing Animal Crossing.

What is your dream car?

I’m not sure… I’m not too close with cars!
