Like all Shift Psychologists, Kelsy is trained in the Shift Protocol, which is the highly effective blending of two well-researched approaches: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Bilateral Stimulation.

What is your name/nicknames?

My name is Kelsy. I don’t have any fun nicknames, though people occasionally call me “Kels”.

What do you do at Shift?

I work at Shift as a Registered Psychologist.

What are your academic credentials?

I went to the University of Alberta for my Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology and then my Master of Education in Counselling Psychology.

Do you have any pets?

Yes! I have two dogs, Rosie (a boxer) and Reuben (a boxer/lab mix). They are my pride and joy.

Specialty Populations/Issues:

My speciality areas include working with children 6+, individuals to enhance self-esteem, decrease anxiety and depression, and enhance self-worth.

What is your favourite food?

What is a skill you are working on currently?

I am guilty of eating takeout far too often so I am working on cooking for myself at home. I have mastered one dish so far but I have lot of learning to do unless I want to eat “Comforting Red Lentil and Chickpea Curry” every night of the week.

What do you do in your spare time?

I often bring my dogs to the off-leash park, garden, run, and wander the aisles of Homesense.

What is your dream car?

Something nice but not so nice that I’ll cry when my dogs inevitably slobber on it…

What is your go-to for a good laugh?

Watching The Office!
