What is your name/nicknames?

My close family and friends call me “Sabi” or “Sab”. As long as the nickname contains some form of ‘sab’ in it, I love it!

What do you do at Shift?

My primary role is Front of House and handling customer relations for Shift Mount Royal in Calgary. I create content for our social media and write articles for the Shift blog. I’m also helping out with our online training portal we’re developing for all new Shifters.

What are your academic credentials?

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree and research certificate in psychology from the University of Alberta.

Do you have any pets?

I personally don’t own any pets (yet!), but I’m pretty attached to my boyfriend’s cat, Django.

Who or what inspires you?

I don’t have any particular person who inspires me, but I adore anyone who is unabashedly passionate and excited about what they do. Someone could be explaining to me how paint dries and if they’re eyes light up as they’re telling me the ins and outs, I’m hooked and inspired!

What is your favourite food?

All kinds of pub and casual food. Pizza, wings, fries – you name it!

What is a skill you are working on currently?

I’ve never been super diligent about exercising so I’m trying to get into working out in my comfort zone. This means I’ve bought a yoga mat and some weights and I follow along to YouTube videos of at-home workouts!

What do you do in your spare time?

I love watching movies from different genres and countries and reading about the filming process. Recommendations are welcome!

What is your dream car?

Nothing specific, but I’d love to own an SUV with all leather interiors and a big sunroof.

What is your go-to for a good laugh?

I love watching people play video games online, especially when they add in funny commentary and editing. My favourite groups are Rooster Teeth, Funhaus, and Achievement Hunter.
