What is your name/nicknames?

I’ve had a ton! But the longest standing and most frequently used is “Shah.”

What do you do at Shift?

I primarily work on developing and executing the marketing campaigns. I also get to be part of Shift’s community initiatives and work towards one of our major goals, which is to make psychology more accessible.

What are your academic credentials?

I studied Neuroscience during my undergrad and have a Masters degree in Psychology.

Do you have any pets?

Not right now, but if allergies weren’t a thing, I’d be down for a cat. Also, though I wouldn’t have one as a pet, I think pygmy marmosets are extremely adorable.

What inspires you or motivates you?

I guess I would say people who have a desire to learn, grow and understand. There are so many complexities in our world and I think it’s important to ask the question “why?”


What is your favourite food?

I am a huge pasta person! To the point where my sister and I used to wait until my parents went to bed, and then would make pasta for our second dinner.

What is a skill you are working on currently?

Kind of broad, but – balance! In all aspects of my life.

What do you do in your spare time?

I spend more time than I’d like to admit on jigsaw puzzles. I also like to spend time outside, play board games, and play ball hockey every now and again.

What is your dream car?

Practically speaking, an AWD SUV with a bunch of space for road trips – which I now have! Otherwise, probably some sort of Aston Martin.

What is your go-to for a good laugh?

I LOVE reading comments on YouTube videos, some of them are just hilarious.
