Information Regarding Your Therapy at Shift and COVID-19
In March, Shift transitioned all in-person sessions to video sessions in the interest of reducing the spread of COVID-19, and keeping our staff and clients safe.
Shift has been closely monitoring news concerning the latest public health recommendations for COVID-19, and with phase 2 of Alberta’s relaunch strategy well underway, we will be launching a soft opening starting on Monday, July 6 for all three of our locations. We do still recommend that our clients continue with video therapy, but are happy to accept in-person bookings for those that prefer it.
Here’s what you need to know:
Appointments will be staggered to reduce contact between clients and staff
All of our clinicians continue to provide online counselling, but will now also have some in-person appointments available
All currently scheduled appointments will be kept as they are; if you would like to switch to an in-person appointment, please call us and we can set that up for you!
Our full reopen date is yet to be determined
The safety of our clients and staff is still at the top of mind, and we are committed to doing our part to keep everyone safe and health

Each client coming into the office will be screened by our Front of House staff prior to their entry with a general COVID screening questionnaire.
Each employee will also be asked to fill out a screening questionnaire upon arrival to work each day.
Each person will be asked to sanitize their hands upon entry and when leaving the building.
A hand sanitizing station will be set up beside the front door at all three locations.
Masks are mandatory in common areas (waiting area and hallways)
We ask that you make minimal use of the waiting area, if possible.
